In this episode Matt Crawford speaks with author Doug Most about his book The Race Underground. This is the incredible story about the race to built America's first subway in the late nineteenth century. Two brothers, William and Henry Whitney would both play pivotal roles in this endeavor, one in New York and one in Boston. A time of great innovation Most brings us back in time with intimate details and writing. A great and fast paced read with wonderful historical tidbits. Highly recommend this book to all.
