In this episode Matt Crawford speaks to author and asst. Professor of history at Washington and Jefferson College about his book Signature Wounds: The Untold Story of the Military's Mental Health Crisis. This is an in depth book that covers the many different challenges veterans and the VA face in trying to solve and care for those afflicted with mental health issues. David Kieran takes a deep dive into those veterans and families affected by this crisis and puts names and faces to those who suffer and those that are trying to stop the suffering. It should be a civic duty to read this book but most of all it is just one of the few things we could do to better understand the result of what happens when you put our service members in harms way.
